Description
This delicious peaberry coffee was one I really had to do some searching for after being requested by one of our retailers, Conti Brothers here in Sacramento. It is direct from small farms at Sigri estate and grown at over 5000 feet on volcanic soil and it sure translates in the cup. I already have a built in love for peaberry to drink and also a challenge in the roaster. It doesn’t easily reveal itself as it goes into first crack so I’m often sticking my ear up close to hear the progress. I love these kind of roasting challenges even after thirty years of it. This coffee has low acidity, balanced sweetness with prominent caramel and chocolate notes. I also taste a back note of almonds to round out what I consider a truly delicious cup of coffee.
Best farm wages and education have elevated the status at these bird and eco friendly plantations. Two types of shade trees are implemented for even cherry ripening.
